Summer (mid-July to late August)
Learn
German while living in beautiful Düsseldorf, Germany.
Earn language credit in intensive courses taught through
the Heinrich
Heine University
Program.
Enjoy the history and setting of Düsseldorf. Instruction
coordinated by EMU's Dr. Damiano. All levels
of instruction are available. Our program is hosted by the
language institute, which attracts students from all over
the world who wish to learn German. All classes are taught
by qualified and experienced teachers with emphasis on the
spoken language. Teachers provide interesting, real-life
activities for students in and out of the classroom. There
are eight skill levels from beginning to advanced. Beginning
students can acquire the skills necessary to function with
daily living tasks in a German speaking country. More advanced
students are challenged with projects involving more in-depth
topics.
Classes are small so that each student receives individual
attention. Students who wish to pursue independent study
receive credit under the direction of the Eastern Michigan
University program director.
