The Office of Government Relations serves as the primary liaison between Eastern Michigan University and all levels of government.

EMU’s highest legislative priorities for the current fiscal year are:

  • Securing state capital funding for much-needed renovations to the Pray-Harrold classroom building
  • Receiving the legislature’s approval for long-planned renovations to the Mark Jefferson Science Complex.
  • The Office of Government Relations also advocates on behalf of the university community to ensure adequate levels of state and federal support for higher education.

Securing the resources EMU requires to remain a leading public, comprehensive university requires the active support of our faculty, students, staff and alumni. From this website, you can remain up to date on the activities of the Office of Government Relations and learn how you can get involved in helping Eastern Michigan University secure the resources it needs to remain a world class university.
