Medical Services provides services for a wide range of acute, episodic and ambulatory medical conditions including general physical exams for work or student clinicals.  All currently enrolled students, faculty, staff and their spouses at Eastern Michigan University are eligible for services.

Snow Health Center is a fully staffed medical facility.  The professional team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and technologists that have specialized in the health and lifestyle concerns of young adults.  In addition, faculty and residents from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital work with the staff in a collaborative program to provide services.

Medicine Clinic

Patients are seen by appointment for most visits. The center also accepts walk-in visits for emergencies.  The focus of the clinic is on acute, minor illness & injuries, physical exams for work or athletic participation and care for some chronic medical problems. Some of the most common reasons people schedule appointments in the medicine clinic include coughs and colds, urinary tract infections, rashes, depression and anxiety, and for minor surgical procedures such as mole or wart removal.

Women's Clinic

The Women's Clinic addresses the specific health concerns of women. Some of the most common reasons patients visit the women's clinic include annual exams, vaginal infections, breast lumps, contraceptives and education about sexual health.

Lab and X-Ray Facilities

The "On-site"  lab at the Snow Health Center gives patients a convenient way to get blood, urine or other testing performed. Many test results are available the same day as the initial visit, while other tests are sent to nearby reference labs.

The X-ray department at the Snow Health Center allows patients to get a rapid diagnosis of some medical problems such as broken bones and pneumonia without the inconvenience and expense of going to an emergency room. All X-rays are read by UHS clinicians and then are sent to nearby St. Joseph Mercy Hospital for official radiology review.
